Electrifying launches from an electric powered winch
The Electric Glider Winch is a battery-electric winch with two, 3,000m (10,000’)
capacity drums. It is powered by a 430HP electric motor fed by a large battery pack which is
kept charged with a generator driven by a truck’s PTO. By recharging between launches, the number of launches in a day is not limited by battery capacity allowing this design to support a very high launch rate.
