Dog Clutch

The Electric Glider Winch is a 2-drum winch which needs a way to select one drum or the other - one doesn't launch two gliders at once. This is done with a "Dog Clutch" as shown in the image. The "Spool" slides left and right on a splined section of the main shaft to engage one of the two "dog faces" which are secured to each drum thus causing that drum to be driven by the shaft. The shaft itself is permanently coupled to the winch's large electric motor.
